About MoonMoon Ceramics
MoonMoon Ceramics is a small studio in the Detroit, Michigan area run by artist Karleigh Thompson and her partner Anthony, the studio's tool designer and engineer. After a back injury made long hours at the wheel painful, Karleigh turned to hand-building, and the two began prototyping their own tools. Those prototypes grew into the 3D printed line they make today, with the goal of tools anyone can use, no matter their skill level or limitations.
Garden Herb Word Stamps
Each stamp was hand drawn, then modeled and 3D printed in premium PLA+ filament. You get the character of a handmade stamp with sharp, deep detail and a light, durable tool built for continual use. The 3/4" letters are perfect for herb markers and garden labels.
Drape Forms
MoonMoon egg carton and deviled egg drape forms are sized up to allow for average clay shrinkage, so your fired tray fits a standard chicken egg. Use a release barrier such as thin plastic, cotton fabric or cornstarch, and don't let clay dry completely on the form.
Garden Marker Clay Cutters
Cut uniform garden markers from rolled slabs in small, medium and large. They're sized to pair with the herb stamps: stamp first, then cut.
Care
Wash gently with a damp sponge or soap and water, using a soft brush to clear debris from stamps, and let dry before use. PLA+ is heat sensitive: keep tools out of hot cars and hot pottery sheds, and don't use a heat gun on them.
OUR PROCESS
Natural Sheffield Clay is mined on our property from as seen at one of the open clay pits. The Sheffield Clay deposit is located in Sheffield, Massachusetts, on U.S. Route 7 in the Southwest corner of Berkshire County.
