N 300/H)
Infinitely adjustable air inlet damper for optimum air supply during firing and reduced cooling time. Automatic control available as an option.
Silicon carbide floor plate protects the floor heating elements. It is easily removed to permit convenient cleaning of the furnace bottom and element maintenance.
We recommend: To achieve a long service life of the brick lining and heating elements, the kiln should not be fired every cycle at its maximum rated temperature. For process temperatures up to 900 °C we recommend models N 100/G - N 660/G. Up to 1230 °C we recommend models N 100 - N 660, and for regular high firing temperatures above 1230 °C we recommend our models N 100/H - N 660/H.
Kiln Venting Nabertherm Kilns
During ceramic firing, certain clays and glazes can release gases and vapors that may be harmful if inhaled. For this reason, kiln exhaust should always be safely vented outdoors. We recommend connecting an exhaust pipe directly to the kiln to properly remove fumes. For models up to the N 300/H, a 3.15" (80 mm) diameter zinc-plated steel or stainless steel pipe is suitable. The exhaust pipe must be installed with a continuous upward slope to ensure proper airflow. Good room ventilation is also essential so fresh air can mix with the exhaust gases. For planning purposes, the exhaust piping system should be rated for a maximum temperature of approximately 392°F.
⚠️ Safety Note: The bypass connection and exhaust piping can become very hot during operation and may cause burns. Any wall ducting must be made from heat-resistant materials. We strongly recommend having a qualified local ventilation company size and install the exhaust system correctly. For Top series models, the exhaust pipe must be connected to the bypass outlet using an upward angled bend, allowing the lid to open freely.
Thanks to Nabertherm’s optimized insulation design and precisely matched bypass system, no additional ventilation system is required to achieve excellent temperature uniformity. The manual air inlet damper allows fresh air to enter the kiln so residual moisture can escape through the bypass system and out through the side exhaust connection. Once the kiln reaches 1112°F, the damper can be closed to ensure consistent firing results and outstanding temperature uniformity.
