SCOTT CREEK POTTERY 5″ WALL MOUNT EXTRUDER

The Scott Creek 5″ Wall Mount extruder is largest model and a perfect match for the serious production potter. When paired with the die kit of your choice you can mass produce shapes, coils and handles with ease. This 5″ Wall Mount extruder is indispensable in the studio or classroom. Scott Creek's classic extruder design features an easily removable barrel cap for fast die changes, an all aluminum barrel that is safe for all clay types and will not rust and powder-coated components for longevity. The barrel can be removed from the backbar for easy loading and cleaning while the removable handle and plunger assembly can be inserted or removed on the fly.

Pair the wall mount clay extruder with the die set of your choice to make large runs of specific shapes easily and conveniently. Mechanical advantage gives you a great amount of power to extrude clay with ease. People love to use an extruder for coils, handles, mugs, vases, soft slabs, pitchers, scuplture and so much more!

Included in the box are two Blank Aluminum Dies for your customization. Die kits are sold seperately.

INSTALLATION :

Find a 2x4 stud in the wall (they are generally 16”or 24” apart, center to center) and screw a 2x4 the same length as the backbar to the stud in the wall. This will give you the back spacing you will need for future accessories (ie: expansion box). Then use the provided tag screws which fit into the holes in the backbar to attach the extruder to the mounted 2x4. Mount your extruder on the wall at a height that will allow you to see down into the barrel.
Next connect the plunger to the handle. We have provided a hardened grade 8 type bolt with lock washer and nut. Use the provided brass pins to hold on the extruder cap. Please observe that the pins 90 into the holes at the bottom of the barrel. The downward pressure of the plunger and clay will keep the cap on if the pins are in the holes.
