Clay is an durable, efficient and economical alternative to plastic, ESS13, and bentonite pond liners.
Natural pond liner clay is less expensive to install and maintain than plastic or rubber liners which break down over time.
8"-12" of tamped clay creates a watertight liner for ponds or any size.

Our pond clay is loaded at our Sheffield Massachusetts location. Regional trucking is available.

The Sheffield Clay deposit is located in Sheffield, Massachusetts, on U.S. Route 7 in the Southwest corner of Berkshire County. It is situated in the Housatonic River Valley, 60 miles southeast of Albany, New York and 60 miles northwest of Hartford, Connecticut. The deposit is approximately 300 feet deep and is located on a 16 acre site. The raw clay is a pure clay, with no stones, sticks or other contaminants.
Regional trucking is available for Albany, White Plains, Hartford, Springfield areas.
You can arrange to pick up the clay and self-load with shovels. Please call first.
We can load your truck but there is a two yard minimum for us to load you.
Please call first for delivery or to come and pick up.
The clay weighs approximately 2500 lbs per yard.
