VENT DUCT 2 1/2 TO 8 FT EXPANDABLE
Flexible Aluminum 3” Vent Ducting 2-1/2 to 8 Feet. It is expandable and comes with two hose clamps.
HOW FAR CAN I EXTENDING THE KILN VENT DUCT?
The duct may be 60 feet in length, and include up to four 90° bends, without a significant drop in static airflow or a reduction in kiln air pull. You may use any galvanized, stainless, or aluminum duct. The outlet duct size (after the motor) is 4” diameter. The inlet duct (before the motor) is 3” diameter.
How hot does the duct get during the firing?
Due to the introduction of fresh air through the plenum of the vent system mixing with the hot gases being drawn from the kiln, the temperature of the duct of the duct is below 150oF. This will prevent burns from occurring in the event of the duct being touched. (This is also true for the Vent-Sure - even more so because we are pulling a higher volume of air through the Bypass Valve).
