Use XL Grog when you want a surface that is textured (imagine a colorful Shigaraki ware!) Soft clay is recommended for throwing and trimming with XL Grog. This size will catch in your trimming tools, creating unexpected and raw surfaces. Throwing with XL Grog feels like throwing with clay with small rocks. Can be used in handbuilding and wheel throwing.
