Clayscapes Glazes CP34 FLATBUSH BROOKLYN SERIES: For Cone 6
Flatbush is a rich, vibrant, semi translucent chartreuse glaze that should be fired to cone 6. This glaze was inspired by a trip to Brooklyn and will give your work a clean, lively look. This gloss glaze is lead free, food, microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. Try layering these glazes for unlimited combinations and effects but check tips to avoid too much glaze on the runnier ones.
- Add 10 ounces of water per dry pound of glaze and mix and let sit
overnight and then add 2 ounces of water per dry pound of glaze and mix
again. We usually let them sit overnight again before using. Water
Density is different in different parts of the country. This formula
works for the Central NY area. You might need to add more water to your
glaze if it is still too thick.

This glaze is formulated for dipping or pouring applications. If you want to use this glaze for brushing you will need to add CMC or commercial brushing media such as this one from Spectrum : Spectrum-Glaze-1070-Brushing-Media-Pint .
Clayscapes Pottery Glazes are beautiful and unique. They are well tested and ship with mixing instructions with specific gravity / hydrometer reading. Using a hydrometer went mixing your glazes, you ensure yourself a consistent mix with the correct amount of water every time.
