LT-48 Moss Agate Amaco LT Textured Alligator Glaze
Cone 06-04. See picture above showing how these glazes look over light and dark red clay. When applied over red clay, the
clay color showing through high relief contrasts or blends with the
glaze color and the entire piece is enriched by the warm undertones.
No two pieces
glazed with AMACO® Textured Alligator Glazes are ever alike due to the
many variations in texture which occur in firing. Variegated matt
textures predominate at the lower firing temperatures and gloss
textures at the higher with a mingling of matt and gloss between the
extremes.
For
best results apply on mature Cone 04 (1971°F/1044°C) bisque. Glaze fire
to Cone 05 (1911°F/1044°C) at slow speed.
•For the illusion of depth
•Excellent on texture
•For both Red and White Clay
•Cone 05

AMACO® LT Alligator Glazes are supplied in liquid, ready to use form in
pint jars. They are applied on bisque or greenware by brushing, pouring
or dipping. Firing range is from Cone 06 (1855°F, 1013°C) to Cone 04
(1971°F, 1077°C), and the recommended firing temperatures are Cone
06-05 (1855°-1911°F, 1013°-1044°C). Category 1 and 4 glazes are
leadless and require special treatment due to their short firing range.
These glazes must be applied on a mature Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C)
bisque then glaze fired to Cone 05 (1911°F, 1044°C).
Jewel Brown is a dark brown and amber aventurine type glaze with
infinite depth and gold flecks appearing throughout. It should be
brushed very thoroughly to reveal the lovely gold flecks. Firing
requires good ventilation. Fire to Cone 06-05 (1855°-1911°F,
1013°-1044°C).
**All LT Series glazes are lead free except LT-24, LT-31, LT-115, LT-121, LT-122, LT-130, LT-133, LT-142, and LT-144.
