The NAEA annual convention is to provide substantive professional development services that include the advancement of knowledge in all sessions, events, and activities for the purpose of improving visual arts instruction in American schools. As such, it is the world's largest art education convention.

The 5-day convention includes over 850 participatory workshops, panels, seminars for job-alike groups . . . research reports, discussions, exhibits, and tours . . . keynote addresses by world-acclaimed educators, artists, researchers, and scholars . . . a once-a-year opportunity to meet in a major American city and meet colleagues from all over the world.

Each year some 140 to 200 exhibitor booths displaying the latest art textbooks, high-tech software, prints, slides, curriculum materials, equipment, and programs, as well as the latest studio and art history media are made available for examination and review to art educator delegates. It is a professional development opportunity to update yourself on the vista of state-of-the-art materials to advance visual art instruction in your program.

A Few Suggested Clays For the Classroom

Mass White with Silica Sand:This earthenware pottery clay is a very smooth and very plastic clay body containing ball clay and non-asbestos talc.  The addition of silica sand gives a more controlled shrinkage in large pieces. Cone 06 - Cone 02

NILFISK ELIMINATOR I VACUUM:
The Eliminator I is a compact vacuum cleaner designed to withstand the abuse of a rugged environment, while maintaining strong suction and filtration capabilities.  The multi-stage filtration system features a HEPA filter that captures 99.97 percent of dust and debris, down to and including 0.3 microns.  Although the standard model is configured for dry collection, the vacuum can easily be converted into a wet/dry vacuum by adding a float chamber device.  As a member of the Nilfisk Eliminator family of vacuums, all filters, accessories and hoses are interchangeable within the Eliminator line.






The Debcor Studio Furniture #9200 Large Greenware Drying Cabinet is designed for drying and storing your greenware or to store and protect other special pieces from damage. These very strong worktables can support 600 lbs on each surface for a total of 1200 lbs.  Here again, versatility is North Star's hallmark.  They can be ordered with optional  bottom shelf; they can be ordered with one or two optional  end wings.  Several tables can be locked together using spacer kits which can be furnished at no charge. OPTIONAL  End Wings, or "extensions" simply fold down against the legs when not in use; they can be smooth or have an opening to hold a five-gallon bucket.
