Evenheat Glass Kiln V8 with Vitrigraph Base
120 or 240 volt
The V8 multi-purpose kiln is sized perfectly for home studios,
teachers, instructors and test kiln use. It's capable of all firing
types and techniques including glass, vitrigraph, ceramic, metal clays
and more. Its stackable design makes placement easy especially with
vitrigraph work.
The V8 easily transforms into the ultimate
Vitrigraph kiln with its Vitrigraph base accessory. Vitrigraph use
highlights include a corner mounted thermocouple which offers more
usable floor space and allows for larger pots up to 7.25" (competitor
models have less usable floor space and are limited in pot size to about
no larger than 5.5").
Designed with convenient use in mind the V8 operates from a standard household plug.

Access Port (Pat. Pend.)
The V8 incorporates Evenheat's new relay access port (Pat. Pend.) for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement.
Simply
remove the plate to gain access to the service part. There's no need to
remove or swing the entire control panel out of the way and dig into
the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and all it
takes is a simple screwdriver!
Multi-Purpose Design
The V8 multi-purpose kiln is sized perfectly for home studios,
teachers, instructors and test kiln use. It's capable of all firing
types and techniques including glass, vitrigraph, ceramic, metal clays
and more.
The V8 is equipped with either our Set-Pro, Rampmaster
II, RM3 or TAP Touchscreen controls that contain preset programs for
glass, ceramic and metal clay work. These controls also allow the user
to custom design their own firing program for full artistic control.
Vitrigraph Capable Design
The V8 was designed, in-part, to operate as a glass vitrigraph kiln with the use of our optional Vitrigraph Base Accessory.
The
modular, stacking design of the V8 allows for easy placement on
vitrigraph frame structures. Simply move and stack the individual
components to create the working vitrigraph kiln.
Evenheat has
also positioned the thermocouple (temperature sensor) to the corner of
the firing chamber which allows for more usable floor space and
potentially larger pots (up to 7.25").
Power is not an issue as the V8 produces 1680W on a standard household plug. It's very capable.
Vitrigraph Base Accessory
Converting your V8 to vitrigraph use is possible using our Vitrigraph Base Accessory.
The
Vitrigraph Base Accessory is a standard V8 base that has an additional
2-3/4" hole machined through the brick and metal stand. This large hole
allows for unimpeded glass flow.
More Usable Floor Space
Usable floor space is always good and the V8 offers the most of
usable floor space of kilns this size. This extra usable floor space is
made possible by positioning the thermocouple (temperature sensor) at
the corner of the chamber as opposed to the flat side.
With the V8
project size becomes less of an issue compared to competing brands.
Larger glass, vitrigraph pots, glass molds or ceramic items can be
loaded and fired.
Multiple Control Options
Evenheat works closely with control manufacturers Bartlett
Instruments and SDS Industries to bring you the best in performance,
features and programming ease.
Control Options Include:
TAP Touchscreen, full featured touchscreen control with user-defined
and preset programs for glass, metal clay and ceramic. Also features
full-text graphics, cost per firing, and graphing along with wi-fi
compatibility with web and mobile apps and more.
Genesis Touchscreen, full featured touchscreen control with user-defined and preset programs.
Rampmaster 3 (RM3), full featured control with user-defined and preset programs for glass. Features a 4 digit display.
Economical Set-Pro, 3 button control with user-defined and preset
programs for glass, metal clay and ceramic. Features a 4 digit display.
Stackable Design
The V8 is designed in a "stackable" format. This allows the
artist to convert from a standard kiln to a vitrigraph kiln in a matter
of minutes.
Stackable also makes locating the kiln that much
easier as each piece is positioned independently. If you plan to convert
back and forth between standard use and vitrigraph or are a travelling
artist the stackable feature comes in very handy.
Power Cable Exits at Rear
We've placed the power cable exit point to the back of the kiln
to keep it out of the way of both you and the kiln itself. It's a fairly
minor detail but placing it at this point lessons the potential for
entanglement and power cable damage.
Standard Household Plug
The 120 volt version of the V8 operates using standard, North American household voltage
and is equipped with a standard North American household plug. We do
offer the V8 in various global designs and fit these units with country
specific cables and plugs.
