Evenheat Glass Kiln GTS 18-13
Beginners with access to 240V operation will appreciate the GTS 18
with its larger diameter and ample power. It takes up less floor space
than our other 240V kilns yet performs with the same confidence and
strength.
The GTS 18 features our TAP Touchscreen, Genesis Touchscreen or
Rampmaster controls, Swing View Adjustable Viewing, Awesome Lid Handle
and Full Stainless Jackets.
Order yours with our Quiet Drive Solid State output option for tight temperature control and longer element life.
The GTS 18 is designed to fire glass and is quite capable of all
glass related firing up to 1800°F (982°C), such as painting, fusing,
slumping, casting, etc. It should be noted that the GTS 18 is designed
to fire a single layer or shelf. The nature of the GTS 18 is to provide
heat from the lid elements directly to the shelf containing the glass.
Attempting to fire glass below the top shelf is likely to lead to
frustration and disappointment.
While the GTS 18 is designed exclusively for glass work it is
possible to fire a variety of materials including metal clays, low fire
ceramic, china paints and metals processing provided the firing
temperatures do not exceed 1800°F.

Access Port (Pat. Pend.)
The GTS 18 incorporates Evenheat's new relay access port (Pat. Pend.) for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement.
Simply remove the plate to gain access to the service part. There's
no need to remove or swing the entire control panel out of the way and
dig into the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and
all it takes is a simple screwdriver!
Multiple Control Options
Evenheat works closely with control manufacturers Bartlett
Instruments and SDS Industries to bring you the best in performance,
features and programming ease.
Control Options Include:
TAP Touchscreen, full featured touchscreen control with user-defined
and preset programs for glass, metal clay and ceramic. Also features
full-text graphics, cost per firing, and graphing along with wi-fi
compatibility with web and mobile apps and more.
Genesis Touchscreen, full featured touchscreen control with user-defined and preset programs.
Rampmaster 3 (RM3), full featured control with user-defined and preset programs for glass. Features a 4 digit display.
Economical Set-Pro, 3 button control with user-defined and preset
programs for glass, metal clay and ceramic. Features a 4 digit display.
Swing View Adjustable Control
The Swing View Adjustable Control is a pivoting, swing-up
enclosure that allows the user to rotate the Rampmaster control to a
comfortable viewing and programming angle. it is that simple. You're
going to really enjoy this feature. The Swing View Adjustable Control is
stock equipped on all GTS 18's with Rampmaster control.
Wide Lid Handle
The 8" lid handle on the GTS 18 is wide and easy to operate, even with a gloved hand. you'll absolutely love it.
Full Stainless Jacket
Multi-section kilns are designed to lower production costs for
the kiln manufacturer. it is a worthy goal but it comes at the cost of
kiln quality. It's a trade off we're not willing to make. We build our
kilns with full stainless jackets from top to bottom. Full jackets mean
absolutely solid, life extending construction. There are no leaks, no
shifting, no buckles and no weakness. Insist on Full Stainless Jackets
for true build quality.
Corner Mounting Technique
The corners of the kiln body and lid provide excellent strength
for mounting. The flat sides of the kiln don't offer this strength,
especially on oval shaped kilns. We install our load bearing hinge and
lid handle brackets on these corners for this reason. Longer life, high
reliability: solid design makes a difference.
Properly Sized Stands
We don't design our stands to fit into our kilns for shipping.
We design our stands to support our kilns in use. Our stands properly
distribute the weight of the kiln and are made wide to prevent tipping
or offsetting. You won't find our stands in our kilns but you'll be
happy to know they're beneath them.
3 Position Lid Vent
The GTS 18 is equipped with a 3 position lid vent. Lid venting
helps remove burn-off from adhesives and paints and comes in handy
during the cooling process.
Responsive Thermocouples
Our thermocouples (temperature sensors) are chosen for their
quick response and reliable performance. Our standard thermocouple is a
Type K. Type S thermocouples are available by request at additional
charge.
Top and Side Fire Configuration
Evenheat pioneered the top and side fire glass kiln design. Top
fire is essential in glass firing as it heats the glass surface
uniformly. The addition of side fire provides heat to the lower portion
of the kiln which helps to reduce and eliminate bubbles.
Excellent Temperature Distribution
Evenheat glass kilns are true to their name and the GTS 18 is no
different. Our designs are well known for their excellent temperature
uniformity. They're done well and you'll appreciate the performance.
