The Skutt (formerly Thomas Stuart) Revolution (1/2 hp) with SSX upgrade

This Skutt Revolution potters wheel is a great wheel for everybody.
Clay throwing capacities exceed 150 lbs with it's 1/2 hp motor. 14" Wheel head, removable splash pan. This one has the SSX Drive upgrade which makes this wheel as smooth and steady as any wheel on the market!

The removable splash pan design can be removed easily by twisting and lifting the wheel head and removing the one-piece splash pan. This design is cleaner and easier to use than the standard two-piece splash pans on other wheels. The Revolution, with it's continuous duty, 1/2 HP motor, is one of the most powerful wheels on the market. The enormous splash pan not only holds a ton of trimmings, the wheel head pops right off so you can carry the pan to your reclaimer in one piece. Upgraded to the ultra silky smooth performance of the SSX controller and you may never have to make another potter's wheel purchase again.

This drive provides incredible sensitivity for the foot pedal at very low speeds. If you are throwing wide, thin walled porcelain bowls you may want to consider upgrading to the SSX controller. This is the premier controller. It runs smoother and quieter. There really is no downside.
