Edgar Plastic Kaolin, commonly known as EPK , is possibly the most common material in the ceramics industry. It is used in pottery glaze formulas which call for kaolin, and many moist clay porcelain pottery clay recipes.
It is a unique, high quality, water
washed, ceramic kaolin which offers very white fired color, unusually
good forming characteristics and high green strength.
In glazes, EPK
offers excellent suspension capabilities and uncommon cleanliness.
At Sheffield Pottery we offer small quantities of kaolin for studios and we offer bulk pricing discounts up to 26,000 pounds on EPK kaolin for large scale needs such as white-ware production or cosmetics. This clay is a fine dry powder.
