The Easy-Load Professional- Grade Front-Loading Kiln meets the needs of schools, studios and potters who need a well-built easy to load cone 10 kiln. The proven technology of the Dyna-Trol Program Control automates the firing process. The even element spacing and built in standard zone control ensure even heating. The insulation system features an arch, 3” or 4-1/2” (on larger models) of firebrick with mineral wool back-up, and a gasketed plug door. All firebrick sections have interlocking heat-locks to prevent heat leakage.

 *The hearth height of the EL2436-S is 20” at no extra charge with a smallest door height of 65”. All voltages available. 480 volts is optional for an extra charge. Type S Platinum Thermocouples are optional. Dawson Kiln Sitter Back-up Safety Control is optional. Bottom elements are optional. Bottom elements are controlled by the bottom zone and have adjustable power output. Vent-Sure downdraft vent system is optional. Note that a forklift/rigger is required to remove the door.
One Post kit includes six each 1/2”, 1”, 2”, 4”, 6”, & 8” high 1-1/2” square ceramic posts. The number of post kits varies with model and is shown above. Furniture kits include dark safety glasses, insulated gloves for unloading and 5 lbs of cone 10 kiln wash.
INSTALLATION AND UNLOADING: These are large heavy kilns. You must have the appropriate facilities, manpower and equipment to move these into place. They can not be moved up stairs. The door size that they fit through is critical. Be sure to measure every door that the kiln must move though. Except for the EL1824 the door of the kiln must be removed to get the dimension down to the stated specification. (The control panel does not need to be removed).
HEARTH HEIGHT & DOOR PASS THROUGH: See above for standard hearth height (inside bottom of the firebrick chamber to the floor). The EL2436 is available as a special short model (EL2436-S) with a hearth height of 20” and a smallest door pass-through of 34-1/2” by 66” high.
